Minti Gives Good Advice

Perth-based parenting advice site Minti was recently announced as runner up to Yahoo! Answers in the Web 2.0 awards in the category of ‘Questions and Advice’.
Although Minti does not offer anything revolutionary its success has been in creating and building a niche community. Minti has all the features one would expect from a social network today including personal blogs (with RSS feeds), groups, tagging, user ratings and image uploading but its core strength is in allowing users to find and give advice.
If your not a parent you wont find much of interest here, but for parents looking to find and share advice this is surely one of the best resources on the Internet.
Minti is owned by Vibe Capital who are planning to launch further vertical communities using the same platform which Minti is built on.

I was lucky enough to be asked to help judge the awards and Minti definitely left a strong impression…
I was pleasantly surprised to see it was an Aussie-founded social network - keep it up Clay and Matt
